1982 多摩美術大学美術学部絵画科日本画専攻 卒業
1984 多摩美術大学大学院美術研究科修士課程日本画専攻 修了
埼玉県嵐山町のアトリエで、豊かな自然から触発された繊細な線描の世界や桜の花びらを何万枚も描いた4ｍを超す屏風など新しい日本画の世界を表現してきた。

1984 MFA, The Graduate School of Tama University of the Arts
After graduating from the graduate school Kato has made vigorously paintings and presentations. It had an atelier in Arashiyama Town, Saitama Prefecture, and continued to express the world of new Japanese traditional-style paintings such as the subtle screens that inspired tens of thousands of cherry blossoms and the world of delicate drawing inspired by rich nature.
